A shorter route, often favored by fans of packrafting or light canoeing. Caution: disembarking is mandatory just before Lake Coo to avoid the waterfall!

The official navigation season generally runs from spring to autumn. However, opening depends daily on the water flow (minimum limit of 1.7 m³/s). The river often closes in the middle of summer during long periods of drought.
The Amblève is perfect for lovers of wild nature and those escaping the crowds, with a spectacular departure (Coo). The Lesse is more festive, featuring the famous passage of the two weirs. The Ourthe offers very open and rocky landscapes (around Durbuy) with varied routes.
Upon your arrival in Cheneux (or another end point), buses or shuttles organized by the rental companies automatically bring you back to your starting point (Coo Waterfall parking lot or Stavelot). This service is generally included in the rental price.
Yes, it is highly recommended, especially on summer weekends and public holidays. The number of boats launched is regulated by the Walloon Region to limit the ecological impact.
If the level of the Amblève is too low, you can fall back on Lake Robertville or Bütgenbach for lake kayaking, or opt for the Semois, which often maintains a better water level in summer thanks to its different watershed.
