Have you found your ideal campsite in the Semois valley?
In the peak season (July–August), campsites are fully booked 3 to 6 weeks in advance — especially Huttopia and L'Ami Pierre. May, June and September are ideal: mild temperatures (16–22°C), navigable river, off-peak prices and far fewer crowds. Easter is also very popular. In winter (November–February), most sites are closed, with the exception of a few motorhome pitches in Vresse.
Motorhome pitch in Vresse-sur-Semois
The Vresse-sur-Semois motorhome pitch is located in the Rue des Batteuses, 200 m from the village centre. It has 12 motorhome pitches with electric service point (10A), drinking water, waste disposal and dry toilets. Nightly rate: 12–16 €. Open April to October. Travellers wanting more comfort can use Les Bouleaux or Le Jardinet, both offering full services.
Booking tip: For July and August, book at least 6 weeks in advance for Huttopia Vresse-sur-Semois and 4 weeks for L'Ami Pierre. Outside these two sites, other campsites are often accessible without advance booking on weekdays outside school holidays.
Camping + kayak: the ideal combination
The Semois is perfectly suited to a 2–3 day camping-kayak package. The classic itinerary: settle in at L'Ami Pierre or Le Jardinet, check the Semois water level in the morning and set off by kayak in the afternoon with return shuttle. The next day, explore the village of Bohan or do the Crêtes walk. For a 3-day trip, the Alle → Membre → Bohan route covers 22 km of magnificent meanders with authorised bivouac points on marked riverbank spots.

Magnificent canoe descent (17km), the service is very good, we wait little even at arrival thanks to the driver and his wife. In addition, the small cafe with terrace is very pleasant.
