By cross-referencing my practical experience with nautical safety standards, I issue strict recommendations regarding equipment (such as the mandatory 5mm neoprene wetsuit on cold days) to prevent severe risks like cold shock response or hypothermia.
The KayakSemois Algorithm
To bridge the gap in precise and centralized information, I developed a custom hydrological API (v3.0.0). This system analyzes official data from the Public Service of Wallonia (ODWB) in real-time, every 15 minutes, to offer total transparency.
Exclusive Comfort Index
Beyond simple flow rate (m³/s), I developed an algorithm calculating a Difficulty Score and a Comfort Index taking into account water temperature, windchill, and actual water level.
