At Kayak-ardenne, the minimum age varies by route. For short routes (7-10 km), children can participate accompanied by an adult, often in a family kayak. For longer routes (11-17 km), the recommended minimum age is 12 years unaccompanied.

It is not strictly required but highly recommended. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory and provided free of charge by Kayak-ardenne. The Semois is a calm river, but being comfortable in water adds extra security.

Bring weather-appropriate clothing (swimwear, quick-dry clothes), closed shoes, a water bottle, sunscreen and a waterproof bag. We provide the kayak, paddle, life jacket and a waterproof bucket.
